Recalling its announcement on 31 July 2016, the Embassy would like to emphasize once again that the so-called “Thai Turkish Business Association” does not in any way represent Turkey or the Turkish business community and the said entity is managed by the network mentioned in the above-mentioned announcement.

The facts about this network and its related entities operating in Thailand have been already officially conveyed to the Thai authorities through diplomatic channels and the Embassy has asked for the adoption of relevant measures vis-a-vis these entities. In this context, it was stressed that the so-called association cannot use the term “Turkish” without the permission of this Embassy.

We would like to state once again that the said entity does not in any way represent Turkey or the Turkish business community and that it does not have the right to use the words Turks and Turkish in their title.
